The completely renovated rooms hint at the past whilst also having a contemporary feel. Every room and every piece of furniture has a history: the High Tea Room, the Boutique, the Lounge and the Flower Workshop all have their own style with unique details. Every little corner of “House of Porters" has its own characteristics and particular ambience.

History of the property
Situated at Kipdorpvest 44, a street off the Meir ,“House of Porters” has a very central location in Antwerp. The frontage dates from 1882 and the house is a listed building. It has been home to an auctioneering firm, a bank, the Austrian consulate and the Ministry of Finance. The original glory of the consulate had been lost through the years but Pieter Porters has managed to make it once again shine in all its glory. In "House of Porters" there’s something for everybody. The 3000 m² area incorporates a beautifully decorated show room, three luxuriously decorated hotel suites, a room for High Tea, A cookery- and flower workshop, an accessory shop and in-house architects.
